      Christ's Kids have been enjoying a great time of fellowship on Wednesday nights these past few months! They have been discussing serious matters regarding their faith and have been challenged to think about the things they surround themselves with. They also enjoyed an animated visit from story teller Patti McClure! The Youth also led worship in both churches recently and featured skits and Jacob Doster preached the morning message.

     Some of our Youth in the News: Ethan Edwards was awarded Eagle Scout in a special ceremony last month. Kaitlyn Sutton and the FHS Girl’s Softball Team had a remarkable season and Kaitlyn and Morgan Hagan received several awards at the FHS Athletic Awards Banquet.   Jacob Doster and Belinda Ear will both graduate on June 13. Our Youth Minister, Justin Cabe graduated from WCU last month.

     The summer months will bring a close to the Youth’s regular meetings on Wednesday's but Christ's Kids will remain busy with a trip to Deep Creek in June and ultimate Frisbee games on Sunday nights. In addition, the Kids will be spending a week (June 20-26) doing mission work around Western North Carolina. They will be staying at The Wesley Foundation in Cullowhee and traveling to various work sites throughout the week.

   Regular youth group activities will resume Aug 25 and a Back to School Concert with Shane and Shane will kick off the new school year on Aug 4.
